Called as 'king of the end' or 'the final boss', Oh Seung-Hwan is lions' closer. Lions' fans know that when Oh comes out, Lions win the game.
He is known for his fastball called "Stone fastball", as the hitters say that when he is on the mound, they feel his fastball as if a stone is coming toward them.
Oh is number 1 closer in Korea, and no one will deny on this matter. This season he saved 47 games, which is a tie with the highest score in Asia(It was also Oh Seung-Hwan who saved 47 games in 2006).
He debuted in 2005, but in that year he saved 16 games, making 115 strike outs which is 5th place in the league and the best among closers. Also he was chosen as the MVP in Korean Series when he played 7 innings and made 11 strike outs with no runs.
2006 was the best season for Oh. First of all he got into the national team, and played in WBC. Then in the league he made 47 saves and became no.1 in Asia. In 2007, he made 40 saves, and in 2008 made 39 saves which both ware the top in the league.
However he was injured in 2009 and had hard time for 2 years. People said the show time for Oh has ended. But this season he came back. With 47 saves in the league, he became the MVP of Korean Series again.
He is loved by all Koreans and I'm Proud that he is a Lions' man.
